Meet Our Physicians
Nahid Mazarei, MD Chief of OB at Southern Maryland Hospital Center Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board Certified Dr. Nahid Mazarei graduated from UCLA and received her medical degree from George Washington University Medical School. Dr. Mazarei completed her residency at the Einstein Medical Center in New York, where she served as the Chief Resident of Obstetrics and Gynecology.Following her residency Dr. Mazarei accepted a position at Reston Hospital in Virginia, she remained in that position for 5 years until she joined the Fort Washington Women’s Health Center. Her specialties include laparoscopic procedures, high-risk pregnancies and the treatment of fibroids. Since 2001, Dr. Mazarei has been practicing obstetric and gynecological care to a great spectrum of patients, speaking Spanish and English.
Roshiel Tiu, MD Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board Certified
Dr. Roshiel Tiu was born in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. as a young child. Her family still lives in Cleveland, Ohio where she was raised. Dr. Tiu received herBachelor of Science degree in Biology from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. Following her undergraduate education Dr. Tiu received her Medical Degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Tiu completed her internship and residency training for Obstetrics and Gynecology in New York at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she was an Administrative Chief Resident. Following her training Dr. Tiu began to practice at Fort Washington Women’s Health Center in August 2006.
Dr. Tiuencourages patients to ask questions, because she believes an informed patient is more likely to understand her disease and adhere to her treatments.

Meet Our Physicians
Ranette Marshall, DO Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board Certified
Dr. Ranette Marshall received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. While at Morgan State, Dr. Marshall was inducted into Beta Kappa Chi Scientific Honor Society and held leadership roles in numerous organizations. After graduation she received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athena, Ohio. Dr. Marshall completed her residency at Michigan State University's St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital-Oakland, where she served as the Chief Resident for 2 years. Following her formal education Dr. Marshall practiced and later became partner at Cornerstone OB/GYN in Mansfield, Ohio. Dr. Marshall practiced there for 8 years prior returning home to the Washington DC area. At which time Dr. Marshall began practicing at the Waldorf Women's Health Center in June 2009. She is an active member of her church, the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics & Gynecology, the American Osteopathic Association and Christian Medical/Dental Society.
Karen Robinson Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board Certified
Dr. Karen Robinson received a Bachelor of Science in Biology within 3 years from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. There, she was an active member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and served on the board. After graduation she moved to Washington DC, where she attended Howard University Medical School. She developed a passion for women’s health/surgery and youth which propelled her into pursing obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her residency in Baltimore at the University of Maryland Medical Center, a high risk obstetric facility. Her interests are in minimally invasive surgery and other latest surgical technology. She looks forward to growing a greater technologically advanced practice in White Plains. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, a member of the American Medical Association and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy.
She assists yearly in the organization of her church health fair, sponsors children through World Vision and has been on medical mission trips to Dominica and Albania. She otherwise loves leisurely travel and spending time with her dog, Ginger.
