Meet Our Physicians
Nahid Mazarei, M.D. Chief of OB at Southern Maryland Hospital Center Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board Certified Dr. Nahid Mazarei graduated from UCLA and received her medical degree from George Washington University Medical School. Dr. Mazarei completed her residency at the Einstein Medical Center in New York, where she served as the Chief Resident of Obstetrics and Gynecology.Following her residency Dr. Mazarei accepted a position at Reston Hospital in Virginia, she remained in that position for 5 years until she joined the Fort Washington Women’s Health Center. Her specialties include laparoscopic procedures, high-risk pregnancies and the treatment of fibroids. Since 2001, Dr. Mazarei has been practicing obstetric and gynecological care to a great spectrum of patients, speaking Spanish and English.
Roshiel Tiu, M.D. Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board Certified
Dr. Roshiel Tiu was born in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. as a young child. Her family still lives in Cleveland, Ohio where she was raised. Dr. Tiu received herBachelor of Science degree in Biology from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. Following her undergraduate education Dr. Tiu received her Medical Degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Tiu completed her internship and residency training for Obstetrics and Gynecology in New York at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she was an Administrative Chief Resident. Following her training Dr. Tiu began to practice at Fort Washington Women’s Health Center in August 2006.
Dr. Tiuencourages patients to ask questions, because she believes an informed patient is more likely to understand her disease and adhere to her treatments.

Dr. Sadeka Jude received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy in Baltimore. With the goal of becoming a women’s healthcare provider, she worked both as a registered pharmacist/commissioned officer in the US Air Force and US public Service. As a civilian, she also worked as a Pharmacist at Safeway Food. While working as a pharmacist, Dr. Jude received her Doctorate from Howard University College of Medicine. After completing her residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore she practiced at Capital Women’s Care in Rockville, Maryland.
Dr. Jude’s interests include all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, cultural awareness/health disparities in the practice of medicine and disaster preparedness/relief for the female patient.
She is currently an active member of the America College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP).
She has resided in Maryland for 23 years where she has raised two children, Chad and Gabrielle.
Sarah Sheikh, D.O. Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Sarah Sheikh received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Rochester. She obtained her Doctorate from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. Dr. Sheikh completed her internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, NY, and her residency from Hahnemann University Hospital.
Following her formal education, she worked in a private practice before joining White Plains Women’s Health Center. Dr. Sheikh’s professional interests include maternal and fetal care, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, as well as reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Her focus is on women’s wellness at every stage of life. She believes in patient-physician collaboration to reach this goal.
